Dating as a stripper
While I don't mean to sound negative, I have come to the conclusion that dating someone while being a stripper doesn't work. Even if you're willing to quit stripping (like I tried to during my last relationship) the guy will never trust you. He will always in the back of his mind suspect that you're being unfaithful. It's a sad reality...

My last boyfriend cheated repeatedly, I never did.

My last boyfriend cheated repeatedly, I never did.

9/11 Facts
UNITED WE STAND
1) New York City has 11 letters
2) Afghanistan has 11 letters.
3) Rasmin Yuseb (The terrorist who threatened to destroy the Twin Towers in 1993) has 11 letters.
4) George W Bush has 11 letters.
5) The two twin towers make an "11"
This could be a mere coincidence, but this gets more interesting:
6) The first plane crashing against the Twin Towers was flight number 11.
7) Flight 11 was carrying 92 passengers.
9 + 2 = 11
8) Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers, was carrying 65 passengers.
6 + 5 = 11
9) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11 as it is now known.
9 + 1 + 1 = 11
10) The date is equal to the US emergency services telephone number 911.
9 + 1 + 1 = 11
Sheer coincidence..?! Read on and make up your own mind:
11) The total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes was 254.
2 + 5 + 4 = 11
12) September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year.
2 + 5 + 4 = 11
13) The Madrid bombing took place on 3/11/2004.
3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11
14) The tragedy of Madrid happened 911 days after the Twin Towers
incident.
9 + 1 + 1 = 11
Sheer coincidence..?! Read on and make up your own mind:
Now this is where things get totally eerie:
The most recognized symbol for the US, after the Stars & Stripes, is the Eagle.
The following verse is taken from the Quran, the Islamic
holy book:
"For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was peace.
”
That verse is number 9.11 of the Quran.
Still uncovinced about all of this..?! Try this and see how you feel afterwards, it made my hair stand on end:
Open Microsoft Word and do the following:
1) Type in capitals Q33 NY.
This is the flight number of the first
plane to hit one of the Twin Towers.
2) Highlight what you just typed and change it to font size 48.
3) Now change the font to “Wingdings”
Scary, huh?

When the place changes...
Don't you hate when the very best place changes? You know, the little hole in the wall mom-and-pop shop with food to die for.. My favorite delivery place of all time has recently changed. They raised their prices 20% while cutting down portion sizes about the same. Maybe the heat of the recession got to them and they are making a last ditch effort to not go under. But they are going about it all wrong; they've lost me as a loyal customer.

The Dresden Dolls
A few months ago I flew to San Diego to see The Dresen Dolls perform. It was completely worth the trip. They are really amazing and performed one of the better shows I've ever seen.

Imagine my surprise!
My mother called yesterday. A few weeks ago I mailed her an angel pendant. She hasn't been doing well at all since my sister's death and nobody else in the family will talk to her. Our conversation was pleasant. It's good that we're back in contact. :)
To the Rick who commented: You are by far the most talented photographer I've ever worked with. You deserve plenty of recognition and praise for your skills. After we lost contact, I didn't want to shoot with anyone else and haven't modeled since.
Considering I went through a tough period, I'm surprised to hear such kind words from you. Sorry for everything that happened between us. I am also very sorry to hear about your brother. Maybe you understand part of what happened to me. Hopefully you are surrounded by friends and family. Please email directly if you want to talk further; I do miss your friendship.

The Four Agreements
Lately I've been reading The Four Agreements. Excellent book. Different way of viewing life. It's tough work to implement but I am "doing my best".
This trip is going well. Not focusing on the money nearly as much as just going to work consistently and having fun. Both of which I am accomplishing!
In a silly mood.. Check this out!
By the way, to Rick: So few people know about this blog I was shocked to see your comment. It helped. Thank you for lifting my spirits. :)

Summer is here
I'm in Vegas to dance. After this trip I have no idea what my plans are.. Do I move to Costa Rica or do I stay in Atlanta? All the reasons I moved there for weren't real. Confusing, sad....

Tomorrow night I will be going to see the Dresden Dolls in San Diego. Don't know who they are? Watch: http://youtube.com/user/dresdendolls?ob=1
After the show I will be heading to Vegas to dance. This may be the last time before I re-enter corporate world. Come see me! :)

4/20 snapshot
Even though my ex-boyfriend and I broke up, I am still living with him in Atlanta until we can afford to move me. Since I gave up my Vegas condo to be with him, when I move I will be moving outside the U.S and living as an ex-pat.
Today is the anniversary of my little sister's death. We were never very close but I miss her incredibly.
It is also 4/20 day. I haven't smoked yet today and I'm not sure if I will. While I am quite the pothead, today may be better spent in reflection. We'll see...
I may stop dancing and modeling soon and get a "real job". My background is in marketing..
While the Speed Racer movie is coming out in a few weeks, I just don't feel happy like I should...

Visiting family
Lately I have gotten to visit much of my family. Seeing myself in them helps me focus on who I am and who I am becoming. Talking to my grandmother about years long past, trying to put myself in her shoes. Same with my mother..
