My friend's son was killed

His name was Brandon Lee Evans and he was a really good kid. Here is the website for more information: www.justiceforbrandon.com

This letter was written by Christine, Brandon's mom:

My son was murdered in San Francisco Golden Gate Park on November 29, 2008. I have not given up on finding the person(s) who did this very cowardly act on my son. They took him from those who loved him at a very young age of barely 20 years old. Please do me a favor and send an email and/or letter by mail to the below information, to America's Most Wanted. In the letter please notate in your own words to please air this story on TV to help find Justice for Brandon Lee Evans and capture the people who did this. There is a $100,000. REWARD & a Hotel in San Francisco who has offered to pay for America's Most Wanted Hotel expenses if they do a story on Brandon. Please keep the letter simple, as I am sending this letter out to everyone I can in hopes that everyone will at least...send to 10 people, and request that they too request that they have their people send to at least 10 more. My goal is to send as many letters to America's Most Wanted in hopes that they will be flooded with letters and do a story on my son, Brandon Lee Evans. The way it works on how they choose a story is...randomly selected. In which, I believe the more popular a story is in the media...they will do it. I believe that with the help of this airing nationwide...we have a better chance of finding who did this forsaking act. Again, keep it simple...as a request to do the story and include the website his name, my name...Christine Evans and my contact information rewardforbrandon@gmail.com

I appreciate everyone who receives this to lend a helping hand to bringing Justice to Brandon and his family & friends.

With Sincere Appreciation,

Much Love....
Christine Evans

The letter should be a request for America's Most Wanted to air this story on TV in order to help find Justice for Brandon Lee Evans and capture his killer(s). Think of it as your good deed for the day--it could really make a difference. Thank you.

My celibacy journey

It is no secret that I am a sex addict. I have alluded to it in previous postings and openly talk about it with my friends. My libido craves 4 times per day at a few hours per session. After my last relationship ended, I decided that good sex isn't worth the drama anymore and made a decision to remain celibate.

When I first started this journey, it was difficult. I read Don't Call It Love: Recovery From Sexual Addictionand filled out the worksheets inside. It is important to mention that this also included no masturbation so initially I was chewing skin which had previously been covered by fingernails.

After the first few weeks, a strange clarity swept over me and life became peaceful and less stressful. This was unexpected and is the reason I've been able to maintain abstinence. All my friends have been very supportive (even if they don't fully understand) and have seen positive changes in me. Selfishly-motivated people cannot hide their disdain and are phased out of my life.

For a woman with a high sex drive, even a few months is an eternity--and it has been MUCH longer than that. In fact, I realized today that this is actually the longest I have refrained from sex since the very first time I had sex! Celibacy isn't a lifetime decision for me, but it is still the right choice for now. How long will it be before I have sex again? I have no idea. Jokingly I say I am waiting until marriage and, who knows, maybe...

stumbled across TMZ's website

...and found this Big Lebowski porn parody trailer (featuring my good friend, Roy Karch). If you liked the original movie, this will be a special treat:

TMZ primarily features star gossip, paparazzis, etc.. Since I don't watch TV and I don't read tabloids, imagine my fascination. This is much more typical of what is up there:

GLBT

I came from an understanding household. I am bisexual, my sister was a lesbian. Our parents loved us unconditionally. However, society is not so kind. My sister was "out" in high school and said that she wouldn't have wished that aftermath on anyone--it was much worse than she anticipated. This was a decade ago in California. Considering California is the most liberal of the states, I can only imagine how much worse it would be elsewhere. No wonder the suicide rate for GLBT teenagers is significantly higher than the heterosexual population. It's not that they are inherently "messed up", it's often that they feel hopeless after being outcast from society.

Someone's sexual preference shouldn't be anyone else's concern unless that person is hitting on you or you like them. If someone is making unwanted advances, it doesn't matter which sex they are. If you are interested in someone who is not attracted to your gender, that is the same as liking someone who doesn't like you back. It's not a big deal. People need to grow up and stop judging each other.

Instead of tricking your friends, dish out random acts of kindness today.

It is awful that it is so socially acceptable to lie in our culture that we actually have a day set aside to "celebrate" and play pranks.

I refuse to participate.

Here is the general astrology forecast for April:

April is a very intense month with Pluto stationing, Mercury going retrograde, Saturn moving back into Virgo and Saturn opposite Uranus, and very few hours of the moon being void of course. Hold on for the ride, it should be interesting. April begins with the Moon in secretive Scorpio giving a cutting and mysterious combination for April fools day. Jokes can have an “I gotcha back” feeling. The universe might have a joke or two in mind for us that are deep and mysterious.

The energy that starts our month is best used for focusing on a hobby you feel passionate about. This vibration gives strength and courage to go after what you want in spite of any obstacles in your way. The big lesson this month will be there is no moment like the present.

The length of the void of course moons are very short this month. This indicates life will be moving very fast. Friday the second Mercury enters Taurus and the Moon enters Sagittarius; beliefs are firmly grounded and fought for. Not a pleasant combination when considering the shadow side of the energy and the day being Good Friday in the Christian calendar (suicide bombers willing to fight and die for beliefs).

Travel is good for Easter weekend, getting out of the normal routine and seeing something new and different will bring hope and optimism to your life. Pluto is retrograde on the 6th. Pluto is very powerful and the energy is heightened on this day. Meditate and tap into this vibration to increase your intuition and own personal power. April 7th Saturn moves back into Virgo and will give us the opportunity to put into our daily routine good health habits, change our diet for the better, and recommit to an exercise program.

The new moon on the 14th is our annual Aries reminder to seek our own inner warrior and develop courage to take risk needed to have the life we want. Mercury is retrograde April 18th until May 11th. With Mercury’s slow journey through Taurus thinking is slowed down to mull over thoughts every which way to be sure that what you are thinking is really what you value. The Sun enters Taurus on the 20th and with the moon in Cancer it is a perfect day to honor the Sun’s journey in Taurus with gratitude towards nature and wholesome food. Earth day, on the 22nd, the moon is in Leo giving us a fun day to play.

Friday the 23rd Venus is square Neptune, connect with your inner artist and enjoy an outing that is creative. Venus moves into Gemini on Sunday the 25th, the value of friendship and communication is given to us from Venus in Gemini. This is time to reconnect with friends and keep it light. Relationships will move towards a lighter less possessive feel. If you feel challenged with jealousy or neediness in your relationship you can learn from Venus in Gemini who teaches the value of communication and how to lighten up and feel good.

The full moon on the 28th has Mercury conjunct the Sun, a deep energy asking us to connect with our higher self. Self discovery and healing work done on this day will be very powerful. If you feel stuck in life use this energy to meditate and receive answers to a concern. Dreams will be very powerful, keep your dream journal handy to record the messages. The month ends with the moon in Sagittarius springing us into May with hope and optimism.

for Sagittarius

Spring has Sprung! Astrologically, April is the month of renewal and new beginnings as a new zodiacal year begins with the Spring Equinox and we are ready to charge out into the world!

This year, however, with Saturn in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn, we can expect obstacles and delays before we are able to settle down. Venus, located in indulgent Taurus, will make for passion and great enthusiasm, as it joins hands with flamboyant Mars in Leo, and then get ready for magical moments with a few sparks flying around April 5, when it slinks into a sexy and seductive trine to Pluto.

However, the light-hearted mood will not last long. Pluto turns retrograde on April 2 signalling in a time for new beginnings and dead ends. Retrograde Saturn, the planet of duty, discipline and hard work, also reverses into Virgo on April 7 to make sure that we have learned the lessons of realism and discipline that Saturn has been trying to teach us for the last two years. This is a good time to get serious about a new a new fitness regime and an even better time to streamline work methods.

Expect a fair amount of burning the candle at both ends with the the energetic Aries New Moon on the 14 since temptation-heavy Venus will not put up with all work and no play. On April 17, Mercury turns retrograde in Taurus for the second time this year, so be prepared and use your knowledge of how to work with Mercury retrograde periods
to make your life easier.

As the Sun moves of out impatient and hyper-active Aries into earthy Taurus on the 20, we will all feel a shift in gears -- the pace will become slower and there will more solid achievements. A favourable Sun trine Pluto on the 23 will give us the opportunity to empower ourselves and realize that we can overcome our own hurdles and be masters of our own destiny.

And lastly there will be a Saturn in Virgo opposition Uranus in Pisces to contend with on April 26. Oppositions are planets sitting exactly across from each other on the zodiac. Saturn and Uranus will pull us in two contradictory directions at once. For Saturn, the old ways are the best, however Uranus will demand that we go for innovations, experimentations, encourage us to rebellious and follow our own whims instead of listening to others. Remember, life is not black and white –- it is all varying shades of gray!
